The SORA Story
SORA Regenerative began with a simple realization: regeneration is not only something we do to the land. It is something we must first remember within ourselves.
Founded by Andrez Chuney, SORA was born from a journey between Michigan and Mexico — between community gardens, ancestral foodways, regenerative agriculture, cultural identity, and the search for a more sacred way to build.
What began as a vision for restoring land and growing food evolved into something larger: a living network connecting producers, communities, buyers, and stewards across borders. From coffee and cacao producers in Mexico to community-centered buyers and changemakers in Michigan, SORA exists to create relationships rooted in dignity, reciprocity, and long-term regeneration.
At its heart, SORA is not just about products. It is about people. It is about honoring the hands that grow, harvest, prepare, and carry food across cultures. It is about rebuilding trust between land and market, producer and buyer, spirit and economy.

From the Founder
SORA Regenerative was founded by Andrez Chuney-Gutierrez, a Mexican-American community builder, regenerative strategist, and cultural bridge-builder whose work is rooted in land, identity, food systems, and spiritual renewal.
Andrez’s journey began in Michigan through community gardening, housing work, real estate, and local development. Over time, that work expanded into a deeper calling: to reconnect people with land, culture, ancestry, and the systems that sustain life.
Through his travels and relationships between Mexico and Michigan, Andrez saw a powerful opportunity to build something different — a regenerative network that honors producers, strengthens communities, and creates ethical bridges between regions.
SORA Regenerative is an expression of that vision. It brings together Andrez’s experience in community development, land-based work, cultural storytelling, and spiritual philosophy into one living mission: to build systems that do not simply grow profit, but restore connection.
For Andrez, regeneration is not only ecological. It is personal, cultural, economic, and spiritual. It begins within the individual, then extends outward into the land, the marketplace, and the community.
